3 Quick Remedies to Get Rid of Bloating

1175356_628971677123309_570149263_nDo you feel gassy? Have you gained a few pounds in the last couple days? Do you wake up every Monday morning feeling like you just ruined everything?

Look on the bright side, you CAN actually do something about that extra fluff!   Most of the time the bloating has everything to do with extra sugar, extra salt, or just a little too much alcohol.  Sound a little like your weekend? Don’t worry, let’s get you back on track and doing everything it takes to feeling yourself again.  We don’t throw in towels here at Fitness Studio 108, we definitely do not fall off bikes and not get back on.  WE as a community are here to empower you to get this whole healthy lifestyle thing working for you.  It may not be perfect all the time, but what is?  Let’s start creating harmony between work hard and play hard.

Are you a person of ACTION? If so, immediately implement these 3 Quick Remedies to Get Rid of Bloating.

  1.  Upon waking, drink 16 ounces of cold water and squeeze a slice of lemon for extra de-toxifaction.  Throughout the day, make sure to drink plenty of water to keep your hydration up, try ending your day with 6 ounces of  de-caf hot tea of your choice.
  2. Cut added sugar, sugar free and any added salt.  Sugar and Salt are trigger foods which results in eating more sugar and more salt.  Resulting in water retention and/or over eating to avoid sugar crashes. Sugar free foods, gum or candy also trigger bloating in general as some of the ingredients in them such as aspartame or sorbitol are not digestible.
  3. Move, stretch and sweat! Take a 10-15 minute walk or exercise/stretch after eating. Moving allows for better digestion and gas relief.
