The heart of Fitness Studio 108. Annie is a motivating and inspiring individual. Founder and President of Fitness Studio 108 (2009) as well as Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and her overall experience in the fitness space, Annie has developed into one of the nation’s leading fitness experts. She travels nationally to teach at live workshops educating fitness professionals about evidence based programming and also is referred to as a subject matter expert for different forms of media such as: MTV, Local Television, online publications- The Bump, U.S News and World Report and Wall Street Journal.
Annie opened her first fitness studio in 2009 in Fresno, CA at the height of the Great Recession in the United States. After leaving her position of managing fitness teams at a corporate gym she knew what her community was in need of. She took the risk of opening a fitness studio (in which was not very popular at the time) purely in hopes to lift her community and those around her to focus on health and positivity. She found her niche in corrective exercise and medical fitness when members of her community/studio were getting off medication and moving with little to no limitation.
Shortly after, she was contacted by popular network television to be featured as a trainer on a reality tv show series called “I Used To Be Fat.” With the support of her family and team at Fitness Studio 108 Fresno, CA she was able to continue on the show as a featured trainer for re-occurring seasons. In 2011, Annie was selected to become a Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) which is recognized as the gold standard of personal training certification. As an international tv personality and national presenter for NASM and other other companies for business coaching systems and various fitness topics she still has a passion for being hands on at Fitness Studio 108.
Annie relocated Fitness Studio 108 in 2013 to Johns Creek, GA after she moved here in 2011. Fitness Studio 108 is now known for continuing to set the standard for fitness in the community but also in specializing in bridging the gap between the medical field and fitness. Her passion is in building the Fitness Studio 108 team of fitness professionals that educates and empowers the community to move well, eat well to live well through evidence based methodologies. Fitness Studio 108 has a track record of being incredibly successful through the transformations of thousands of individuals nationwide.
With several accolades in fitness, Annie is also a wife, a mother, a business owner, and a true health practitioner (fitness, martial arts and holistic nutrition). Her hard work, dedication and persistance comes from having supportive family, friends and parents.
As a former pole-vaulter that competed at the Division I collegiate level for Boise State University and California State University, Fresno. As well as a three time national qualifier for NCAA Regional Track and field and an NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-American, she knows all to well about the communication that is much needed between a team of doctors and fitness professionals to ensure success in the real world as she accomplished her feats all while battling through two knee surgeries.
Annie’s background of physical therapy, injury, power-lifting, fitness competitions, managing big corporate gyms, teaching nationally and managing her own gyms has led her to where she is humbly at now.
